Our Client’s Communication Needs

For the MOBO Awards held at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena, Grace and Tailor required efficient communication between departments and with the TV broadcast team. With a large venue and additional infrastructure around the arena, they needed a reliable radio communication system to cover the entire site.

At DCRS we have worked with Grace and Tailor for many years now on multiple events. For the MOBO Awards, we supplied 140 two-way radios along with essential accessories:

For this event, we worked closely with Grace and Tailor to understand their needs and came up with a tailored plan. We pre-allocated the radios into five distinct groups based on site requirements. Each radio was marked and labelled with a channel list sticker, customised to Grace and Tailor specifications. This preparation reduced the setup time on-site, allowing. the team to focus on other crucial aspects of event preparation.

The Implementation And Outcome

The MOBO Awards ran seamlessly, departments such as talent and artist liaison, production, and the MOBO team could communicate effortlessly, ensuring smooth operations during both the setup and live phases of the event.
