RADIO ALLOCATION SYSTEM

The DCRS Radio Allocation System (RAS) is a purpose built computer system operated on site at an event by either the Event Organiser or DCRS Engineers.

The main purpose of the RAS system is to log specific radio equipment to users or ‘collectors’ by scanning a radio barcode to the individuals name, telephone number and user/channel group. Once this information has obtained the RAS then requires a photograph of the collector before the radio can be dispatched. Once this is complete the system creates a log of the exact equipment the individual or group has along with photographic evidence of the ‘collector’ and the time/date it was collected. This allows the organiser to manage the radio system onsite effectively knowing the whereabouts of each and every radio onsite at any one time.

Simply by pressing the reports button the organiser can view a fully itemised list of radio collectors and the equipment collected with the time and date should proof be required. Should a radio user wish to return a radio the process is simply reversed by the radio barcode being scanned upon return which will bring up the equipment log specific to that user and the operator can simply book in all the equipment that has been returned.

Once all the radio equipment has been returned at the end of the event a final report can be produced and printed to show any outstanding equipment that maybe still onsite and the person who collected it.
