Foreword – Steve Luscombe, DirectorI hope you are all enjoying this glorious weather, for DCRS this is a blessing with a large percentage of our installation work being outside in July.
It is inevitably one of the busiest months for DCRS, being heavily involved in the events industry we have engineers that have been working around the clock to support our clients at a number of different events such as festivals, concerts, triathlons, marathons and exhibitions. With a hire fleet of now over 10,000 Motorola Solutions radios, repeaters, mobiles, accessories & software applications we are proud to be able to support any event throughout the Uk and Worldwide.
These are exciting times for DCRS, and we have come a long way since we began trading in 1987. Our reputation is our most treasured asset and the foundation on which we have built DCRS. Gavin has taken over from our colleague Graham Stokes who retired in April 2018.
Initially qualifying in HF (3 to 30MHz) and then Satcom whilst serving in the RAF he has worked for over 30 years within the telecommunications industry covering a broad spectrum of wireless technologies. Most recently Gavin worked with Microwave technologies consulting, designing, specifying and then project managing a range of IP network projects for clients.

For ships constructed on or after 1 July 2014, a minimum of two two-way portable radiotelephone apparatus for each fire party for firefighter’s communication shall be carried on board. Those two-way portable radiotelephone apparatus shall be of an explosion-proof type or intrinsically safe. Ships constructed before 1 July 2014 shall comply with the requirements of this paragraph not later than the first survey after 1 July 2018.
