Championship Football Club Upgrades Their Two-Way Radio Communication System With DCRS

Background – why your football club needs a reliable communications system?

Like many sport venues, Hull City relies heavily on an effective communication solution to ensure smooth operations during an event. However, their existing analogue radios had become outdated and were failing to meet their operational needs. Recognising the need for an upgrade, Phil, Event Safety Manager at Hull City, reached out to Ash after receiving a referral from another Championship football club.

Our approach to providing a communication solution

Upon the initial site visit, Ash assessed Hull City’s communication needs and identified the limitations within their current analogue system. With it being clear that a more modern, digital solution was required, Ash proposed integrating Hytera PD405 hand portable two-way radios into their existing infrastructure. 

This proposal included the supply of 80 Hytera PD405 hand portables along with any necessary accessories to ensure complete coverage throughout the stadium. In addition to this, Ash outlined plans to reprogram the existing infrastructure to enhance digital capabilities within the site, effectively doubling the system’s capacity and enhancing channel configuration

It was important for the DCRS team to supply them with a solution to satisfy the present and future demands with a radio system that is easy to implement into the team’s workflow.
