Manchester Enterprise Academy Upgrade To The MOTOTRBO SL1600 Digital Two-way Radio

DCRS are proud to have partnered with Manchester Enterprise Academy (MEA) recognised as a centre of excellence in supporting students is one of the top 100 most improved schools in England and has transformed results in all areas.

THE CHALLENGE

Their old radio system required a radical transformation, suffering with a poor coverage footprint messages weren’t getting through and MEA knew they need to move forward to protect both the staff & pupils, priority was a future-proof system that could grow with their site.

THE SOLUTION

DCRS proposed to MEA options from leading manufacturers and after carrying out a site survey they decided on the compact, smartphone style radio Motorola’s MOTOTRBO SL1600. With a Shatterproof Active View display even the heaviest of radio users such as the caretakers now have a product that can withstand knocks and bumps. Adding in the battery conservation function users are getting up to 12 hours per day which is ideal for the early morning workers.

“After reviewing 3 companies, DCRS were my chosen two way radio provider to replace our old analogue radio system. The MOTOTRBO SL1600 was our chosen model and ensures that all colleagues, first aid & pastoral staff can be contacted at all times as there is no loss of signal anywhere in the Academy. The MOTOTRBO radios have been perfect for our requirement, they give good, clear communication for all the team”.
