Hilton Birmingham Metropole is situated near the NEC, Genting Arena, Resorts World Birmingham and Birmingham International Airport.
The hotel is the UK’s largest accommodation and conference venue outside of London, covering 65,000 square feet within its 33 meeting and event rooms, in addition to 790 guest rooms, at full capacity they can hold up to 5,000 guests.
Their ability to offer their guests immediate responses while on the move is critical to the hotel and reliable communication tools play an ever-increasing role in delivering seamless services and give an essential path to continue guest retention and growth.
Evans Sarpong, F&B Manager, was very aware that his team needed to be able to respond and accommodate guests 24/7 no matter where they were within the building. With an ageing system in place, they required an on-site system that could be utilised for multi-discipline teams, working together with their preferred supplier DCRS, the site looked for recommendations.
The system not only needed to be utilised for day to day operational communication but would be required to provide a secure communication path for staff during an emergency.
