We are looking to recruit an experienced Customer Support / Sales Executive to work alongside our Account Managers dealing with radio systems and radio applications that we supply to new and existing clients. Based in our Chesterfield Office this position will involve work throughout the UK.

Job Vacancy : Senior Radio Systems Engineer
We are currently looking to recruit a Senior Radio Systems Engineer.
The successful candidate will have extensive experience in system design, new system installations, maintenance and systems engineering involving practical and statistical process optimisation, analysis, development and testing, Minimum requirements in:
• PBR/PMR/Trunked Radio Products, MOTOTRBO Digital Radio Systems
• Basics of Networking, TCP/IP and basic DOS utilities
• VOIP
• RS232 devices and Data Protocols
• GPS tracking
• Fully Computer Literate, i.e. familiar with System Management/Services/Networking etc
• Producing reports and system documentation
• Operation and use of RF test equipment
• Antenna system design and installation
Although not essential, it would be desirable for applicants to have experience of data/despatch systems and have an understanding of the on-air despatch methods/registration processes.
The ideal candidate must:
• Hold a valid UK driving license. Prepared to travel throughout the U.K. and willing to work flexible hours whenever necessary.
• Maintain a strong commitment to customer care providing high levels of customer service.
• Possess good communication and presentation skills. Able to translate and communicate technical information to the Engineering Team, Managers and Directors.
• Display good organisational skills, able to plan ahead, prioritise tasks and co-ordinate with the work of others.

MOTOTRBO™ Software Release 1.7.2 - Motorola have announced that their MOTOTRBO™ Products have now been updated with the following features to benefit users:
Enhanced GPS – Allows radios to access the channel in a synchronized manner, eliminating collisions. Scheduling of the GPS updates is managed by the repeater and applies to single site repeater, IP Site Connect and Capacity Plus system configurations. If the channel is used only for GPS data transmissions to a server then up to 360 unconfirmed location updates per minute per channel running at 90% capacity can occur.
Radio Password – Optional 4 digit password used during radio power up to protect radios from unauthorised usage.
Digital DTMF Hot Keypad - Expands the current analogue DTMF hot keypad capability to also support digital mode. This feature is supported by full display radios only and facilitates 3rd party telephone gateway applications connected to a control station.
Minimum Volume Offset – Enables the tuner to define a minimum volume level for the radio.
Enhanced Search Capability for Contact List – Allows a radio user to search the Contact list by inputting a series of letters. The radio will bring up the contact based on the key presses.
Programmable Number Keys (for Contact Shortcuts) – Enables display radio keypad keys to be configured as one-touch call keys. The user 'long presses' a keypad key to access the contact then presses the PTT to setup the call.

Cambridge Fun Run
DCRS are proud to be one of the sponsors for the 2010 Cambridge Fun Run who raised an enormous £18,200 for the BBC Children In Need Appeal in 2009.
