The responsibility for Safety is with each Employee. Each employee is to be provided with a current copy of this Policy.
All employees are expected to co-operate in the enactment of the Company’s Statement of Intent. Sub-Contractors shall also be given a copy of this Policy and be expected to adhere to the requirements set out in the Policy.
Statement of Intent
Direct Communications Radio Services Ltd confirms it’s intent to achieve a Healthy and Safe Working Environment in which its Employees, Clients and Sub-Contractors work.

Responsibility
The Managing Director shall be responsible for all matters of Health and Safety. It shall be his responsibility to:-
a) Enact the Statement of Intent
b) Carry out risk assessment of any contract or work undertaken
c) Ensure that identified risks are minimised by:-
i) Training of relevant staff in Safety Procedures
ii) Provision of correct and safe equipment to carry out tasks required
iii) Training of staff in use of such equipment
iv) Monitoring that performance of tasks is done in a safe manner
v) Investigate accidents and include any procedures found lacking into Safety Policy
d) Liaise with Clients Health and Safety Officers to ensure compliance with Client’s Site Safety Rules.
e) Ensure compliance with Statutory Authorities: i.e. Health and Safety Notices, COSHH.
f) Revise Policy and Safety Procedures as appropriate and review safety matters frequently.
g) Ensure staff awareness and involvement in the achievement of a safe working environment
Health and Safety Issues
A register of Health and Safety Issues is maintained at the Company’s offices.
The Register contains the following details:
· Insurance details
· Fire Precautions
· First Aid
· Risk Assessments
· Sub-Contractors conformity questions
· COSHH Records
· Review Log
· Copies of Company’s Instructions to Employees & Sub-contractors.
